It wasn't until I called Red Dot's home office that my questions and issues were resolved. If I were looking to rent a storage unit in the future I would do everything possible to stay away from a Red Dot location.
Red Dot took over for our current lot storage and I'm not impressed. Gates have been left open 24/7 even though it is supposed to be a secured lot; I've received emails telling me I need proof of insurance only to find out that isn't true; and today I get an email invoicing my next month's rent even though my lot rent is set up on auto pay. Not impressed.................
they bought out Anytime Storage in Mishawaka, Indiana. The only notice they gave to current customers was a sign in the entrance gate. No letter, no communication. When I called the local number I got some major BS run-around. I was even put on an indefinite "hold" as the rep decided he didn't want to "help" me with my questions.
Since Red Dot took over, we have no gate security, many security lights are out. The whole facility is vulnerable.
What gives?
Red Dot makes it easy to rent offering multiple ways to pay your bill.
Unsecured gate access. Locker was accessed and some of my prroperty was stolen out of the unit without cutting lock. The insurance from red dot only covers if the lock is cut off. I reported and anticipated an investigation process would take place. Red dot informed me no investigation would take place. Otherwise they are not liable for my unit being used as a department store shopping. Vacated unit 5 days prior to bill due date and was charged the full month fee. Still not reimbursed as of yet. Hold times for customer service extent beyond 20 minutes. Buyer beware of this location.
